A Dream Becomes a Reality
August 9th, 2008Although I knew that Skip was very serious and focused throughout the last year concerning this journey, I can only imagine what he must be feeling like today, as he completes the final leg from Nyack to New York City. I am tremendously proud of him, his family, and for what he stands for. Although this is the end of his journey, it is also the beginning of how his journey should change our lives.
Let’s all let him know how he has affected us. If Skip can sacrifice a summer to remind us of our need to take care of ourselves, we can sacrifice a visit to the doctor.
I know that I am going to be speaking to my doctor at my next check-up. As a 55 (almost 56) year old, I want to keep watch for prostate cancer.
Skip, thank you.
